version 26.0 update

My desktop doesn't seem to want to update to the new 26.0 version.? (currently 25)
All I get is "error occured when checking for update".?...is it because I'm still running XP.?
My laptop (Win 7) updated no problem.!

I don't think so. You could try running the network installer to force an update.
