How do I get glowing pinned tabs when there's activity?

Why Facebook? [snip] … its title changes to include a parenthesised integer at its front
Hmm, did you read what I wrote? Here is one of the key bits again:
It works with any website that adds (
n
) to the title. Gmail, Twitter and Facebook all do this. The other point you missed is that you cannot see (
n
) in small tabs—think pinned tabs (see screenshot above). This extension adds the number in red to the favicon, which is also more attention grabbing. Drawing your attention is a key point in an extension designed to notify you. -

@linuxmint7 page monitor seems nice (I'm actually going to install it myself). I suspect this is probably what @imshady had in mind. Though perhaps Notifycon could also solve his use case.
Oh, I thought it was. I stand corrected.
No problem!

Wow, thanks a lot for the insanely fast responses. I did the things and it works beautifully. I can now completely shift to Opera knowing that the tab notifications work exactly how I want it to

1, it's syntactically ambiguous - though it's my fault that I'm getting accustomed to some people's wrong punctuation, so sorry.
2 - if it is already written as your tab's name, why in Tab's sake you're gonna need a feature? To do what? Send you an SMS?

Oops, I started "analysing by parts", sorry.

Again... thank you for doing this. Sorry I wasn't more specific in my response above.

Can someone tell me what this pinned tab "glow" is mentioned above? I'm using Opera 12 and have never seen this and don't know how to enable it either. It would be nice for my pinned Twitter tab.

Is there any chance that having Notifycon in the Opera store (nice work on that) will improve its performance? I love what the extension does but for me, there are problems. Specifically, I get pinned tab notifications perhaps 50 percent of the time. Notifycon just stops working for reasons I haven't been able to pin (get i??) down. I haven't heard anyone else complain of this, so it's likely a problem on my end.

@linuxmint7, I'm still looking for this "standard ability" in Opera 12. Is it bigger or smaller than a breadbox?
