Opera on an iPod

Could some kind soul help out a senior please? My daughter gave us ipods, but being a longtime Opera user, I want to use Opera instead of Safari.
First of all, can an iPod work with Opera and if so, which version should I download to my iPod.

For iPods and iPhones only Opera Mini is currently available. Check it in the Apple App Store:

For iPads it must be better to try Coast by Opera:
