opera gx - unable to update

hey.. new to operagx, joined not long ago..
browser asks to get the latest security update.. and the top left corner is bright red and annoying.

i clicked and it shows this

then i proceed to click and download the new version 95.0.4635.88 ran the installer and it opened gx.. the notification still persisted. i tried rebooting my laptop (Windows 8.1 pro, 10 y/o Toshiba laptop).
please make this notification disappear, really irritating.
