Opera recalls the tabs that were open when it was closed, so when you open it again, all those tabs are still open. However, if you open a new window and close the initial window you opened (the one full of tabs) first, everyhting is lost. Opera remembers all open windows/tabs/worksapaces based on the last window opened only, I don't know if there is an existing setting that prevents this. When you open Opera, all those tabs/workspace content etc. will disappear.
It would be nice if Opera could remember all open windows, tabs and workspaces, no matter what (if instructed by the user). This can be included in the existing "retain tabs" feature, expanding its functions to cover everything (windows/tabs/worksapaces), or it can be offered as an option to the user as an ability to take a snapshot of the open windows/tabs/workspaces. Such a feature would also be good if the user wants to continue using the same tabs/windows on another computer.
For those having 10-15+ tabs open and want to pick up where you left off, something like this would be great!
