In the latest version of Opera One I noticed that both the Opera menu in the top left and the X (close) button in the top right are impossible to click when the window is maximized and you move the cursor all the way to the corner of the screen. Here's a video to show the issue, you can see the mouse clicks on the overlay at the bottom: https://youtu.be/Lyo-ZJAbCho

I know this seems like a small thing, but this is a major design flaw if you know anything about UI design. Users always expect those buttons to be clickable if they quickly send the cursor into the corner, but now they have to be precise and pull it back a few pixels to actually hit the button instead which slows things down a lot.

I'm on Windows 11 and using Opera One 102.0.4880.56 for the record. The issue is easy to reproduce:

      • Make sure the Opera window is maximized
      • Try to close the window by moving the cursor all the way to upper right corner and clicking the X button
      • Observe that you can't click the button if the cursor is in the very corner of the screen
      • Now try the same with virtually any other application (like the file explorer for example) and you'll see how much easier it is to close the window when its maximized

The issue isn't only about the corners, but also the edges. The clickable area of those buttons doesn't extend all the way to the edge of the window on any side. Again, this is a major flaw in terms of UI design principles, not just a nitpick.

I suppose the rounded aesthetic can stay, but at least extend the clickable area all the way to the edges of the window. That would make it significantly easier to use these buttons.
