Me too. I tried using DuckDuckGo but it's results are not as good as Google and I updated Opera GX and it still didn't work.

I ended up solving the problem myself by going to settings and actually going further than the drop-down menu indicating which engine was default, but going to manage search engines and site search. Where on the drop-down menu Google was my default engine, on the list there, the three dots next to Yahoo were indicating that Yahoo was my default search engine, so go to Google on the list and click the three dots next to it and select "make default." I don't know how I somehow changed it to Yahoo without knowing, but the problem is solved now.

@artoriasdub Do you have mcaffe as an antivirus? It used to do that to me a lot when I had it.

I'm sorry, but I don't think I can help you now. Are you updated to the latest version?

Bruh I also have the same problem. Even deleting the cache and cookie doesn't fix it for any time. I am on the latest version.

Just happened to me, here's what I found to work. It was a extension (volume booster) that did it.
