Tab closes afer clicking on magnetic link

"DNA-106639 Close tabs created for opening external apps". Every time I click on a magnetic link (for torrent download) the tab closes immediately. I would like to continue reading the content though. That's not a desirable behavior in my case and there's no option to turn down this "feature". I would have to be using Vivaldi again. My version: Opera One(version: 100.0.4815.54.

i have the same issue.
I also noticed, that the tab doesn't close when getting the magnet link, if it is the original first tab in it's island.Placing another tab as "first" won't help it stay open - it will get closed, but the original first tab will stay open even if you move it to a different spot in the island.
If you close all other tabs in an isalnd and leave only:
- the original first tab - it will not get closed when getting the magnet link
- any other tab - it will get closed when getting the magnet link

Another thing of note, the non-first tabs will not close if you go another page.
Going back with the "back button" after that will not help - the first page in that tab will still close when getting the magnet
So it seems, that only the first page you open in the tab is bugged to close. -

Same issue here. I'll try to explain what I have found out so far:
The moment I click on a magnet link, the page closes. However I've noticed that this only happens in 'secondary' tabs.
Meaning that if you surf to a website, it is a 'primary-level tab.
If you click on the middle mouse button on a link on that page, it'll open as a 'secondary'-level tab.
If you open the new tab by right clicking and then choosing the option 'open in a new tab', then that opens another 'primary'-level tab that won't close by clicking the magnet link.(The new option to automatically create tab-islands is also not the cause of the problem, as disabling did not help. neither did any of the other settings that looked like they could have some impact.)
I have however not found the option to enable opening exclusively 'primary'-level tabs by clicking the Middle mouse button on a link though.
That would solve the problem, so if the Opera devs could be so kind to include (or reverse the change) in the next patch, that'd be great.
