Hi there,
in M2, IMAP Gmail account, during I tried to either mark message read of delete permanently . error message cam up:
Some of the selected messages cannot be changed, because they are marked as read-only.
How could I avoid this happening ?

Try modifying them at mail.google.com. Maybe click "details" at the bottom right of the page and sign out of all other sessions.
If the messages are in an IMAP folder besides Inbox, you can unsubscribe and resubscribe to the IMAP folder (using the latest 12.x build or Opera Mail 1.0. Don't do it with older builds).
With some IMAP servers, a folder can be set to read only I think. Not sure how that'd happen for Gmail IMAP though. Do you have any nested IMAP label folders (besides ones in [All Mail])?
Looking at the log might reveal more.
