Well, at least it does have a classic menu bar that you can enable temporarily or permanently if you want, unlike Chrome and the new Opera.

I suppose we can only agree to disagree here. I consider 110 millions Vista users to be a substantial number of users.

Well thank you devs for 9 years of hard work..
However I have to switch to Chrome most of the time now to use facebook and numerous other things are becoming buggy on 12.. I don't want a Google Chrome clone, I want Opera. Why fix what isn't broken.. This is a really sad thing IMO.. I've tried the new versions, I just can't use them, too foreign and they just don't feel like Opera anymore..

You don't want Chrome so you'll switch to Chrome, yeah makes sense. Bye.

No, I use Google Chrome for the web pages that Opera 12 just doesn't work properly with. Like if I am using facebook and want to actually use the search function I have to use Chrome or else it bugs out. That along with Twitch.TV. Get off your high horse and get rid of your condescending attitude..

That doesn't change things much, you could just as well use Opera 19+ for that.

What you said first doesn't agree with what you said later. Since many pages are broken in Presto, they decided to move to the Blink rendering engine to fix those broken sites. That is true, many more sites now work in Opera Blink that did not work before. So they fixed what was broken. How about your precious FaceBook search? Does that work in Opera 19?
The other stuff, that worked well in Opera 12 or earlier, is not implemented yet, so that's not broken either. Let's wait and see if they implement some of those important features again. Meanwhile, the open in menu is there in Opera 12 or earlier to open broken sites, just as it has always been.

Actually (s)he said "are becoming buggy" (emphasis mine), on a browser that hasn't been developed for what effectively comes down to one and a half years. That's completely unrelated to what you're saying. Try using Firefox, I don't know, 12 or something (also released around April/May 2012), and see what's "becoming buggy".

No idea, but it definitely works for me in Opera 12.

After messing with the link option to fined out if you can delete all the data your self(preparing for the inevitable) i lunched o12 with a new profile and i got a popup about an update to the blink opera with a message:
(my crappy translation)
"We added new exciting features, that give you more speed, better workflow organization and more personalization possibilities..."
And i fell of the chair, i know that advertising yourself is a must... but come on, there should be a limit to what b***** you can write... -

But that's probably because it's aimed at users that are new to Opera and want to offer them the newest/latest version, because of the detected empty profile, they (the user) may have no previous history/knowledge of/with Opera, or don't know of or use m/any of the Classic features that made Opera Classic (Presto) what it is/was. So they may not actually know the difference between the two versions.
Sounds probable. Well, at least to me it does.

You guys make me laugh with your little grandstanding, soapbox bye-bye routine. You want to go bye-bye? Then go. Why announce it? Surely you can't think that anyone from Opera will read a thread like this one. Just go.
how much are you being paid? or you just like licking boots? everytime something bad is said about the new opera , you appear has some kind of knight defending its princess
seriously gtfo with your bullshit -

seriously gtfo with your bullshitWhat bad was said about it?? In this thread not a single characteristic has been specified by the OP. Perhaps when people stop opening threads with solely vague rants we will give them some respect.
If leushino is a knight I hope you noticed it's because the OP is a dragon attacking the princess. A dragon that wants nothing but simply burn her.

Well, Raphael my friend, in 27 days these community forums will be changed, many of them closed down with the exception of the helpful ones. With the shutting down of MyOpera, the mods who are left as well as some employees from Opera can better police the forums and get rid of those who have abused and misused them for the past 8 months. Not sure what I'll do with all the money Opera keep sending my way. Would you like some? I've more than enough!

Hahahaha.
I really hope that these people will settle down, either by staying with Opera accepting a few workarounds and giving real suggestions on how to make it better or going to Maxthon/Mozilla/other forums for once so threads like this one doesn't appear in the new forum. But I know I'm expecting too much... This kind of "goodbye" thread dates back to pre-Opera12.
