You should update the pepperflashplugin with:
sudo update-pepperflashplugin-nonfree --install --unstable
for Opera DEV versions if no video is shown with Flash.

Thanks for the info. pepper plugin is now installed, but google talk still doesn't work. It keeps asking to insall googletalk, which I've already installed. Both Chrome & Firefox work using googletalk.

Google talk is a different plugin and we do not yet support it but that is being worked on right now so expect this to be rectified in a future release.

Thank you! When that becomes available, OPERA will be my only browser.

Thanks! Without reading your reply, I noticed there was an update to opera-developer. Once installed, I can now use google-talk-plugin! Works great!

According to Softpedia, nobody wanted Hangouts support. :p
http://linux.softpedia.com/blog/Opera-27-Dev-Bring-Support-for-Google-s-Hangout-App-That-No-One-Really-Uses-464904.shtmlSince google talk is now part of Hangouts, its needed to make or receive calls.
