Opera GX automatically refreshing twitch when an ad appears

For some reason my Opera GX refreshes twitch every time a streamer plays an ad. This is very annoying because I have twitch turbo, so the ads shouldn't play anyway.
I know for a fact that this is the ads though, because whenever my refresh happens, I see people talking about the ad in chat. Has anyone ever had a similar problem? Anyone know a fix? I already tried disabling Opera's ad blocker but that didn't change anything. Anything else I can try? -
