[Request]Option to mute Opera has updated! sound

Please give us an option to mute the extremely loud sound Opera GX makes after it updates. I have all sounds turned off on Opera already but there is no way to stop this one.
It may sound trivial but people on the autism spectrum, like myself, would really appreciate this update as we are very sensitive to sound. I woke up today and opened Opera and it almost gave me a heart attack! Yes I am glad it updated but I want to live another day. Thank you! -

@feliix Yes, please remove this terrible feature or at least make it possible to disable it. I cannot understand why anyone would want this. I am considering stopping using Opera simply because of this, it is just too annoying.

No one appears to care about the update as much as the developers. i wish they would realize that. I might have a chance of not annoyng my neighbors every time the developers want to make Opera honk like a semi truck because they are proud that they added a "feature" that I am probably going to turn off.
They need to understand that many of us are using Opera mainly because it is not Chrome or Edge, but if it becomes even more obnoxious than Chrome or Edge, it is uninstall time.
In fact, I think I just talked myself into switching.

Same issue in 2024. The best solution to the problem is to uninstall Opera and try other Chromium-based browsers instead.
