So i wanted to use opera one as i am a developer and i just find opera one better to use rather then gx with its gimmicky features. It was great until the one most important thing i need stops working. the tabs dont close if im now on them. i cant ven click the X because it doesnt even show UP! i have to manually go to that tab (if im not on it alr) by using ctrl + (tab number) because i cant click on it and then press ctrl + w to close it. i cant even hover over it to middle click to close it! it works on other browsers but this issue also only seems to be happening on my external monitor. it works just fine on my regular inbuilt factory laptop display but the laptop display is small and a hassle to use for such a easy task.

This started today for me too, but slightly different. On 15" laptop, it always works fine. On my attached 27"monitor, window view is fine but in full screen the tabs stop responding.
I'm running w10 and there was an update yesterday, but if that was the issue it didn't affect my other browsers.

@aryatac I have the same problem: only on second screen when Opera is maximized the tabs bar is unresponsive to mouse interactions:
- Can't switch between tabs
- Can't close tabs
The working toolbar parts are:
- Opera ("O") menu button in top-left corner
- Plus "+" button used to create a new tab outside an island/tab group
- Search button on top-right corner
- Window buttons for minimize, maximize or close app

Change the batteries if wireless, try another USB port, reset mouse from button on bottom if available. Try the mouse in another PC to isolate if it's the mouse or Windows causing this. Try another mouse in this PC to confirm if Windows is the problem.

@juttguru i am not dumb. i tried all that. it is a browser side problem, for i have 3 mice wired and wireless and the same issue persists. i wouldnt have posted for such a small user side issue, sorry if you find this rude but i am being stressed out by all 4 directions.

@aryatac I have the same problem (I use a touchscreen laptop). This is pretty much a deal breaker for me I hope they fix it soon!

@aryatac I have the same problem when in full screen or maximized mode, it's infuriating how they missed this in testing. Seems to work as expected when you take the Opera window out of full screen mode, the cross appears on the tab you are hovering over. Don't know about touch screens. Hope they do fix it soon...

@pinkviola I ran an update check this morning which says I'm up to date running version 101.0.4836.0. The problem is still there.

@dougiemurray You seem to have a newer version than mine, maybe the updates vary by country? I am in Italy. I have the version reported above and as soon as I installed it the problem disappeared.
