Why why why is the Speed Dial Background image degraded with that white / light gradient at the top in the original version of the Speed Dial? In the Speed Dial Background image of the experimental NEW Start Page, the image is left alone to display all nice and intact as the image is meant to be.

I mean, I know the plan is to try and sway us towards trying and then preferring the NEW Start Page ... but, fixing the battle arena to where the NEW Start Page sports a solid, vivid, sharp Background image while the original Speed Dial Background image is all washed out no matter what image we install is not the way to go about things.

Make it an even fight. At the very least make that white / light gradient at the top of the original version of the Speed Dial background an OPTION. Give us the option to display the background image in its original form.

And by the way, while I'm at it ... the gmail on Speed Dial extension still doesn't work on the NEW Start Page.
