Opera GX Sound not working after every update

So, since quite some time I have the following problem:
I am using Opera GX on a normal basis, watching youtube videos and whatever, then one day, I get the Opera GX startup screen (indicating that it updated, which it also tells me by opening the update tab). After that Update occured, I have literally no sound at all from Opera GX.
I work in IT, so I obviously tried debugging the issue multiple times, but Opera literally doesnt even appear in the windows sound mixer, which leads me to believe, that the update causes some issue, where it does not register any audio outputs anymore on startup.
My temporary solution this far has been to simply run the Opera GX installer once again (I generally download the newest one, so the update stays). Keep in mind that I dont uninstall Opera, I only run the installer, but that still fixes the Issue.
This solution does work, but it is annoying to do this every single time an update happens, and I would love to get some Ideas on what I can do to permanently fix this.
Thanks in advance.

@playwolf Hi, I also get this same issue and the only fix is like you said to just re-install it. its getting quite annoying now, been happening for a few months but can't seem to find anything about it anywhere. I did submit a bug ticket, and was told they are aware of the bug and that they are working on it, but it seems it doesn't affect everyone as I'm sure they would have pushed a fix out by now.

@veteranfall3 Hey there, seems that with this update i am at a dead end. I installed update 100.0.4815.82 today, which lead (again obviously) to the same sound bug as always. Sadly, for some reason this time my handy trick of simply downloading the installer again does not work. I also tried completely getting rid of opera and then reinstalling it, but that didnt do anything either.
Would be great to hear back if you have any more ideas on how to resolve this, otherwise i guess i'll have to switch to normal opera or chrome (at least until the next update)

So, after tinkering around a bit i actually got something to work again. Hurray
My trick was to go into the windows sound mixer and reset the settings to default there. Opera did not show up at all before doing that (and yes i went through all audio output devices just to be sure), then i thought "You know, its a pain because of all the programs that are configured on a different output device, but i'll give it a try".
for those finding this in the future
I'll probably keep updating this topic, just in case anyone comes across it. For now (Update 100.0.4815.82, dated 26.07.2023) it seems to work to do the following:
Windows-Settings -> System -> Sound -> Sound Mixer -> Reset to default (At the bottom)

So after updating, I havent encountered the bug again. However, since last update I have upgraded my pc and so reinstalled windows. Which has me thinking it could be a file that might get corrupted or deleted after every up date? Not really too sure, I just know that for me reinstalling windows hopefully has fixed it

@playwolf Bit belated but it's of Microsoft/Windows doing,
After a update your firewall blocks opera which it notifies you.
However it causes your sound to be disabled
Fix is to go to
sound mixer options (In WIN10 search box) and click reset
you may have to then renamable your preferred sound settings for better quality -
