Opera GX side player auto pause not working

My auto pause feature pauses spotify but only for about 15-20 seconds then spotify starts playing again even though I'm still watching the youtube video that caused the pause to trigger.
Completely new to Opera GX since yesterday and don't really know how to configure/solve this issue, any help is greatly appreciated as it is a very nice feature for background music while browsing.
