Ok, I finally decided to downgrade from Opera 12 to Opera 25, even tho some of my favorite small things are missing (side bar, new tab by middle click on empty spot in tab bar and ctrl+z). I decided to be a man and deal with it.

But. As I synchronized and all of my stuff was brought to Opera 25, I realized that "y" search is not youtube anymore for me, but yahoo instead... and I've been looking for videos using "y" for years and years. I tried removing this in settings, it didn't help. I enabled power user, still no rights to manage this.

Why? Why would you do this to me, Opera Software? I'm trying my best here to switch to this version. But there is just no advantages that I can find. Just dumbed down version with next to no settings to suit my needs.

        crtl+z

See here for a kludge of a fix: https://forums.opera.com/topic/2321/ctrl-z-command-to-reopen-last-closed-tab/19

I realized that "y" search is not youtube anymore

I feel you. It was done for security reasons (or so they say) to prevent extensions at what not from overriding your search settings. Like the search above you have to edit a file to fix it. Basically if you edit the default_partner_content.json file it will delete all of the included search entries you don't want and you can then reuse their letter prefixes. The one loss of doing this is you can't set anything but included searches as the default search.
