Escape key opening up new window

I've been using Opera GX for a while now, but this problem just started today. I was playing a video game (with opera running in the background) and when i hit the escape key, it registers in game, but also opens up another Opera window. I tested it, and this isn't just the game. Even if the game isn't running, this still happens. I have no idea why, and i really want to know
