Opera 12.16 - No Login at VLC forum

I cant login anymore with Opera 12 on https://forum.videolan.org/ucp.php?mode=login.
After entering login data, the forum always shows a 403 error page.

Works fine with Opera 25 on Windows.

But i cant use Opera 25 on my linux Netbook (missing Opera 25 32bit version!).

I can confirm that I also get 403 error on Opera 12.17 on Windows 8.1 but I don't know if it's a temporary thing or not as I don't use this forum.

Curiously, if I mask Opera 12.14 as IE, I don't get the 403 error page, instead I get an https security block message involving security protocols that don't line up. All other Opera IDs and maskings cause the 403 error message. I wonder if this all involves changes pushed to the browser or made at the website revolving around the recent SSL3 "Poodle" vulnerability?
