Flow- unable to connect

On my iPhone, when I try to connect via scanning a QR code which is on the computer, it spins for a minute or two and then says it was unable to connect (with a frown). Retrying does not work. Both sides are up-to-date on versions.
One thing I noticed is that, when I do it, the next time I open Opera on my PC and check in My Flow, it shows a device connected- "iPhone". It did not pick up what my phone's name is, and on the phone it definitely does not act connected.
Any ideas?
