I accidentally today saw my GPU temp. (R9 280x) are very high up to 50C on stand-by. I was shocked because it has to be normal temp. about 33-37C. Than i close all windows with Opera too (there weren't a lot of them) and immediately temp. started to decrease and stopped on 34*C. I start Opera again, it has loaded about 15 tabs and temp. rise up again. There are few playlist on YT, some google search to look later, some text for read it etc. Nothing special. But there were one song from YT which i listen to and one stopped YT video too. I close them and temp. start to decrease again. Those videos are on res. 480p and 720p. Is this problem with Opera or GPU really has to be active for rendering or whatever to show those videos?

You probably have hardware acceleration enabled in the browser(or in flash, I'm not sure where that's set up) and that will use a chip on the GPU to decode the video instead of using the CPU hence the rise in temperature.
