Youtube.com with Opera 25

When playing Youtube videos, I am wondering if I am missing something. Even though I have the video quality set to Auto, the video always seems to play at a lower setting then my system should allow. When playing the same video through Chrome, the video always plays at the highest resolution allowed, whether in normal screen or full screen.
Even if I put the video at full screen, Opera 25 never has the video use the higher resolution. This option is checked in my Youtube settings, I am running Fios 75Mbs, and I am on a Surface Pro 3. If 1080p is available, Opera will auto choose 720p. Opera seems to always auto choose a lower resolution. The only way for me to change the resolution is to manually select that resolution. Like I said, no other browser seems to have this problem.
Any thoughts?

I downloaded Magic Actions extension, and now I force it to play at 1080p when available.
