Opera mail doesn't send mail

I Have looked at the other forum entries dealing with mail sending problems and none seem to be the same as what I'm experiencing. When I hit send the message gets put in the outbox but doesn't move after that. No error message, send queued messages doesn't do anything. I have Comcast email accounts. I'm wondering about the port number for the outgoing server. Where does Opera get them? Any ideas?
thanks. -

On the "servers" tab in the account's properties, make sure TLS is checked and make sure the port number is set to 465. If 465 doesn't work, try 587. Make sure the Outgoing server name is correct too. Also, retype your username and password for the outgoing server. If your username is supposed to be your email address, make sure to include the @... part.
There are standard ports for sending mail: 25, 587 and 465. By default, Opera suggests 25. But, in this day and age, it should really be suggested 465 or 587 with TLS checked.
See this page for more info. (Save and load locally if not browsing to it in Opera 12).
Also, you can turn on logging and see what the error is.
