Opera Web Pages do not Load

Hello Everyone:
I installed Opera 24 (the latest version) and it often will not load new web pages. I have searched around Google and on this forum and cannot find a solution to this problem. Does anyone here know how to fix this problem. I like this browser and really wish I could use it. I am running Windows 8.1.

blackbird71 last edited byAre the pages Opera "often will not load" always the same pages? If so, do they ever load correctly? Can you provide a link or reference to any/some of the problem pages? Also, is your computer using a proxy?

Hi blackbird71: Thank you for your reply. The pages are not the same. I have tried various pages and all open with Chrome no problem. Amazon.com is an example of one page that will not open with Opera. I am not using a proxy nor any type of VPN, just straight through to the Internet. One thing I have noticed is that any pages that have successfully opened in Opera will open again if I close Opera and reopen it; however, new pages typically won't open.
