Hi there, sometimes Opera crashes when I try to fetch my emails. I can see the "connect" down on the right and then it freezes. When I try to close it, nothign happens. I changed Opera to 32 bit and it still appears. Anyone an idea what to do??
Thx in advance!!

Is this with an IMAP or POP account? Did you check the database?
It could be a certain message. You could turn on logging and when Opera crashes, see where the log stops and try to see what message (or a messages headers/statuses) Opera was trying to fetch. Then, delete that message from the server or move it to another folder on the server to see if the problem goes away.
If all else fails, you can try and fix your mail folder to see if that helps. If you just have an IMAP account though, you can try to unsubscribe and resubscribe the IMAP folder (if it's not the INBOX) or delete the IMAP account and add it back in.

Did you try logging the connection and investigating to see if a certain message is causing the crash?
Try renaming operaprefs.ini in the preferences folder so Opera creates a new one. In the sessions folder, delete autosave.win.
I'd also test if your anti-virus (especially its email scanner) is causing Opera to mess up.
Might want to check your file system for corruption. chkdsk /r on the command line (run as administrator) and enable a scan on reboot (will take a long time).
