@yakuzakyuu This issue momentarily resolves when you minimize the Opera browser and then maximize it again. Clicking on the "Menu" tab also doesn't work when this bug happens.

@mrg29a Opera Stable (Thats a laugh) AMD64 90.0.4480.54 just dropped on Debian 11 running Gnome 3.38.5 Wayland and guess what it told me about all it's new features while ignoring the fact yet again that it's broken and has been for months.
I am starting to think that they are incapable of fixing the the bug and so they are ignoring it.
Never mind I guess a different browser will be part of my fresh install and Opera will be a distant memory. It's a shame I've always been rather fond of Opera but hey I was fond of my old car and I sent that to be crushed. I guess Opera will go the same way.

@rockhen67 That's interesting. As far as I know Opera, Brave, Vivaldi all start with a Chromium base. So the question is this. Are those affected being built on a specific version of Chromium that Brave currently is not.
Thanks for the update.

@yogimanuk I have been using Opera for many years...
Maybe it is because there are only a few of us, not enough big amount of users to fix the problem to satisfy them ? -

I have found a workaround on fedora 37 in this regard, If you minimize opera and then maximize opera, it should be working fine.

@megatron505 Hi and thanks for the reply I knew about the work around however. I am afraid after many many years of being an Opera devotee I have moved on to fresh fields. Opera have had ample opportunity to fix this but had not the last time I checked. I am afraid I have been at this too many years to mess with work arounds. After all Opera is Just Chromium with features and a vpn. So I wish you luck but I have better things to do than use software that has faults that don't get fixed for months and months if not longer. Be well and thanks for the response.

Thanks for your response.
I'm this near being former Opera user, but I cling to it because... nostalgia?
Because snap is pain what comes to updating of Firefox? -

@yakuzakyuu I am a Debian stalwart have been for many years so I use apt or .deb packages or compile from source. I dont snap or flatpak. I guess.I am old school. I hope they fix it for your sake but got tired.holding my breath.

Opera 95 (Snap) Linux Mint Cinnamon(GNOME)/X.org. Confirming that minimising the window then maximizing it corrects the fault. If this fault is also occurring with Vivaldi then it could be Chromium related.

@u1travio1et what about it? Are you asking if it happens with that version or if someone has tried it?

Thanks for the info. the 'No menu when clicking right button' seems to be (for me) linked to the fact i'm using the Snap package of Opera. Other browsers like Edge / Brave / Chrome don't have this problem as they are all .deb packages
