that sounds like a good possible...thanks...windows is set to point to d drive in something...everything has to be read by it. (sometimes i wonder tho)

think you are right...something on windows end is pointing to dvd drive...just finding it.
comcerns were if access permissions to write (did not see anything i felt of concern in settings) opens inside my firewall and no doubt antivirus...as it has permissions. again, i did not see anthing in permissions of red flag. it would make a nice sys entry tho, but it seems rare....and maybe it's targeted solely for me and my alien brothers studying your species?thanks

I had the same issue. I found a Newegg cookie that had "d:", but it was not a drive indicator. Opera must have misread it as a link which caused the error. Hope this helps someone.
