Turn off dimming of webpage

Whether it's my 70 year old eyes (or not) I find I just can't cope any longer with the jarring affect that the dimming of the page causes. Despite me trying since the pointless change was made to the browser, I still find it unpleasant. Maybe my eyes don't react quickly enough due to age. One thing is for sure, no matter how fantastic I find the rest of Opera Browser features, I will have to stop using Opera. Why do companies fix things that aren't broken? Please Opera, remove that feature and make Opera number one again.
