Cannot install Opera GX

I tried installing Opera GX browser with both online and offline installers, but each time I open the installer nothing happens besides getting the following debug.log:

[0412/171441.858:ERROR:crashpad_client_win.cc(134)] crash server failed to launch, self-terminating

I am using Bitdefender on my PC I don't know if that might have something to do with the problem. Please help me resolve this issue.

Before installing with the offline installer, rename the "Opera GX Stable" folder to "Opera GX Stable old" just to see if that sorts things out. If not, totally uninstall Bitdefender (don't just disable it) as a test and then try to install Opera to test if Bitdefender is the cause. You can install Bitdefender again then and if it was the problem, see if you can add exceptions for Opera, its profile and cache folders, and Opera's install folder etc.
