How to make Yandex the default search engine

I followed the instructions at the above post, and it adds the search engine. However, it is now in a separate section from the highly censored (and now worthless) search engines like Google, Bing, Yahoo, etc., and the option to make it the default search engine is greyed out.
Does anyone know why or when Opera caved in to the censors or if there is any way for me to decide which search engine I like instead of Opera deciding what's good for me?

@glensch Been having the same problem. It is a nuissance, hope someone has an answer.

bradraiche last edited by@glensch I can confirm that this is still a problem, enough of a problem that it makes me re-evaluate the usefulness of Opera as a browser if I am unable to use the search engine of my choice.
I am frankly tired of tech companies force-feeding me mainstream propaganda garbage. If I wanted that, I would forfeit my thinking to Chrome/Google just like all the other mindless sheep.

Bump, been interested in this too. In fact I've been interested in this ever since I started using opera, but I've been opening yandex in tabs separately. However I just found out ff can have that feature. So maybe hurry maybe?
