Googles Images Error

for the past 2 weeks my google images display has changed and i do not know how to fix it. can anyone help?
when i open google and switch to images and type something i get the thumbnail display although it now looks slightly different than it used to, fewer results and smaller images. now on the left i also get options such as Any Size, Any Color, Any Type etc etc, whereas previously i just had thumbnails. i tried the same thing in chrome and firefox and it works fine, it seems a problem with just opera which is my preferred browser.
the biggest problem is not just with the display but function too. when i click on an image it goes directly to the image hosting website but with chrome and mozilla it works normally, such as, a charcoal window slides down and on the right you have options 'Visit Page' and 'View Image' but in opera i don't have that anymore. i have tried everything to fix it by myself but i have failed. can anyone please help fix this because if it continues i will have no choice but to stop using opera as i use google images a lot.
