How do I keep cursor active after pressing enter?

Just wondering if someone knew how to keep the cursor active after going forward and backwards on a tab
Say I entered
1345
In the input field push enter then i backspace to previous page the cursor isn’t in the field anymore it should be active right after the 5 for editing purposes
I had to upgrade my version(10.1 since it’s not supported any more) and this is totally different… I was able to do a lot more with configurations and everything else and yes I have been into the advanced settings and everything but it’s not the same layout I’m used to
