Why can the Speed Dial have the ability to be transparent so you can see the Speed Dial background and still use Speed Dial.

If you're using Opera 18, then I don't think it's possible.

If using Opera 12 or earlier, just select a suitable skin.

This Post explains how to make the thumbnail skin transparent.
