Non-Selectable Search Bar

Obviously, these are remnants of the tab preview. In some cases, you can even see them with very high transparency.

@budze Thanks for the quick response and help out here.
What tab preview remnants do you mean? They come and go as I hover over a tab.
Also the unselectable area includes the bookmark and download icons as well. It didn't use to be like that a few days ago. -

Hallo @1nfomercial ,
Yesterday I had the effect that I saw just such a hover text at the non-clickable point. It was almost hidden.
In the "normal" error case, you can see that it's actually probably just the area below the "incorrect" tab.

@budze How do I fix that?
I've two hidden areas in the top-middle and top-right of my browser window. These areas are unclickable. I can't even right-click to open the context menu. -

@1nfomercial We'll have to wait for an update then Closing the browser helps here. Until the effect comes again...

I can reproduce this pretty easily. For for currently-focused tab that doesn't have any related sites (same domain at least) open in other tabs, if you hover over the tab to show its tab tooltip and move too fast (very fast) down over the tooltip as it's animating into view, and click it, it'll get stuck on the screen.
Since Opera's window appears under the stuck tooltip, wherever the tooltip is stuck, it blocks focus/clicking on Opera's window underneath. Sometimes, you can even restore down Opera's window and move Opera's window out of the way to see the stuck tooltip show on top of your desktop background.
This is reported internally, so hopefully it will get taken care of as soon as possible.
Given the way it's triggered, one should be able to be careful for now so it doesn't happen or doesn't happen too often.

@burnout426 Thank you for your help.
With the newest update 84.0.4316.21, the issue went away for now. I can now click everywhere in the top area of my browser without being blocked by invisible areas.
Here you can see the after-picture. Notice the difference from my 1st post on top.

@1nfomercial Unfortunately I still have the problem.
Also with Opera 84.0.4316.21 on Windows 11

@burnout426 Are you also using Windows 11 as @budze has been? Maybe that's the difference, cause I'm using Windows 10.
But I take back what I said in my previous post, cause the latest update doesn't seem to have anything to do with your issues: Changelog for 84. So maybe I'm just lucky (for now).
I'm sure, IT is still working on it.

@etet100 now I know what you mean
Unfortunately, I have it and see it as well.
Too bad, it's still around and hasn't been fixed nor acknowledged. -

@burnout426 Yes, you're right. Until a final solution, I will probably switch to Chrome. Productive work is unfortunately not possible
