Opera 12.17 in 4k: fonts washed out

Hello everybody,
I am using 4k resolution and set the text size in the Windows display menu to 180%.
Everything in Windows itself looks great, however in Opera the font on websites and in the menus now looks very washed out. Contrast is quite low and the black is not as dark as possible (except in bold letters).
Does anybody have an idea how to correct this issue? I really hope to keep using Opera.Best wishes

HiDPI support was introduced in Opera 24.
Opera 12 has been developed in times where HiDPI displays were rarely seen if at all. There's no way to make it work in older versions. -

In Opera 12.17 you can change the fonts in Preferences, Advanced, Fonts.
