- Add "toggle images" button in the URL bar
- Add "toggle images" keyboard shortcut
- Add "Show image" option when right-clicking on a blocked image
Why this feature?
Currently there is a way to block all images on sites but it is very hard to use due to lack of convenient ways to dynamically decide where and which images to block. This feature would bring back the old functionality that Opera supported years ago.Background/Rationale
I am one of very early users of Opera browser. In old days of modems and slow connections I really appreciated the ability to not allow sites to show images until I click on the toggle images button... Times have changed, I moved on to use other browsers until I recently went back to using Opera again. It has aged "gracefully", and I found that it still has option to disable images on all sites (Settings/Site Settings/Images) but the way to enable/disable this functionality per site is very clunky... -
