I have issues with any application performing automatic updates.

I have not been able to figure out how to stop Opera from auto updates.

I also do not like the absence of book marks.

I will uninstall Opera.

What's your version?
There's a way to activate bookmarks in most nuOperas.

As to autoupdates, there's an earlier thread on that here on the board, if you don't mind looking down a bit
