Outlook fails to open hyperlinks in Opera GX

Hello guys,
I've recently changed my default browser from Opera to Opera GX and since then I am not able to open any hyperlinks from MS Outlook ( or from any MS 365 app but I am mostly concerned about MS Outlook).
After clicking on a hyperlink I get only the following error:
Something unexpected went wrong with this URL: "https://www.example.com" . Access denied.I've tried to switch between other browsers (and between Opera GX and Edge as mentioned in other threads), set Opera GX as default app for HTTP and HTTPs but nothing worked.
Strangely, I don't have this kind of issues with "standard" Opera but with Opera GX only.
Do you guys have any idea how to solve this issue?I am using the latest version of Opera GX on Windows 10.
Thank you in advance.

Open a command prompt, and run:
start "test" "https://example.com/"
Does that at least open Opera GX and open the URL in it? Does it also work if Opera GX is already opened?

Yes, it does in both cases. It does work just fine from any other none-MS applications like notepad++, Itellij, etc.

Looking through these search results might help:
https://www.google.com/search?q=outlook+access+denied+hyperlink
On this page, it implies that the problem isn't with http and https protocol association, but with the .html file extensions association. I would try to go in Default Apps in Windows and set the .html extension to open in Opera. If it already is, I'd try to set it to Edge or something and then back to Opera.
I have some registry things you can check. I'll post later.
