Video playback functionality

So with this latest update it seems that opera once again has gone from a great android browser to an annoyance. The video playback controls are no longer there, can't skip forward or back and if you want to move forward or back in the video the second you touch the screen to see the time remaining or move the slide it pauses, is there a setting to get back the old controls? Cause I can't find nothing.
