I have added google messages to opera sidebar, but it keeps asking me to pair devices all the time. What should I do to stop that? Thank you

@dobricabor:
I have this problem too. I've ticked to remember the computer in at least 2 places. Really annoying. I've noticed other sidebar apps seem to reload from scratch if it's more than a minute or two so maybe it's a drawback of the system generally. Or maybe there's some cookies I should be enabling somewhere in the settings? Hopefully someone will find an answer and tell us as I won't be able to use it like this and I'd like to! -

Sync your phone using the Opera sidebar. Please ensure you close any active web starup on the synchronized computer.

Says it's in use somewhere else, I click Use Here and it just repeats the cycle indefinitely, even when it's not in use anywhere else.

Goto the URL opera://flags/#sidebar-site-panel, enable the flag, restart Opera, click the 3 dots at the bottom of the sidebar, scroll down to "Custom Site Panels" and add the URL for the web version of Google messages. I guess that's https://messages.google.com/web/, but you can double-check.
Open the URL in a tab and log into and pair your phone etc. first if needed. Then click the reload button on the Google Messages sidebar panel that you added.
