Google Messages for Opera Sidebar

Goto the URL opera://flags/#sidebar-site-panel, enable the flag, restart Opera, click the 3 dots at the bottom of the sidebar, scroll down to "Custom Site Panels" and add the URL for the web version of Google messages. I guess that's https://messages.google.com/web/, but you can double-check.
Open the URL in a tab and log into and pair your phone etc. first if needed. Then click the reload button on the Google Messages sidebar panel that you added.

@dovahfire: Thanks a lot.
The icon is at the bottom. Is it possible to move it alongside the other extensions in the middle of the sidebar, at the same height as Spotify or WhatsApp? -

- That’s an error.
We're sorry, but you do not have access to this page. That’s all we know.

@dovahfire: I just clicked on the link you gave https://messages.google.com/web/ on my PC and then I saw the QR code link on that page. I just clicked on the QR code link and then went back on the phone app, I clicked my profile (top right corner) and then scrolled down to device pairing and scanned the QR code showing on my PC. All worked good!
