Switch to the New Tab Immediately

I want an option only found in Firefox.
That is, in Firefox, in the Options you can choose to Switch to the New Tab Immediately.
That way, when you're on a web page and you right click on a link or URL and chose 'Open Link In New Tab', the New Tab is open for you and you're transfered to the link you chose. That saves a mouse click and gives an uninterrupted flow of operation.

Alternatives are:

• Hold down ctrl and shift and left-click.

• Drag up on the link and drag it to the tab bar.

• Drag down on the link with the right mouse button.

• Install https://addons.opera.com/en/extensions/details/classic-tabs/ and in its options, select "Focus the new tab" under the "When opening a link in a new tab" section.

@kasoleo This option is not found only in FIrefox. It is available in many, if not most, browsers.

ok, I downloaded and installed this. What now?

No instructions or any indication of how to access the options I need such as "Switch to the New Tab Immediately" and "Force all tabs to open at the end of the tab bar".

• Goto the URL opera://extensions

• Click "options" for the Classic Tabs extension.

• Scroll down to the "When opening a link in a new tab" section.

• Select "Focus the new tab".

Then, you're down and you can close out of the settings tab.

Thanks a lot. Getting there. It does now focus on the new tab, but the new tab is either next to the old tab or in a new window. I need the new tab to be at the end, but selecting this option makes the new tab open in a new window. Any ideas on that?

@slemberg This works fine for me:

When opening a tab = Open all tabs at the end

When opening a link in a new tab = Focus the new tab + Prevent all tabs from opening new windows = enabled
