      http://tech.slashdot.org/story/14/09/02/2249224/google-serves-old-search-page-to-old-browsers?utm_source=rss1.0moreanon&utm_medium=feed

Even "Mask as Firefox" is now don't work at all. "Mask as Internet Explorer" cause several problem with search pages.

If Tamil's tutorials were still available, there no need this post. But these gone forever.

Here are post for whom are searching methods to change User Agent quickly without extension, or edit the opera:config, and refuse to use "so-called-modern" browsers.

      Edit [Opera's Profile folder]/menu/standard_menu.ini
In Linux, it could be ~/.opera/menu/standard_menu.ini

In section [Browser Menu Bar] adds following:
      Submenu, "User Agent", UserAgent Menu

Create new section, such as, my presets:
      [UserAgent Menu]
Item, "Default" = Set preference, "User Prefs|Custom User-Agent="
      Item, "Opera Mini 7.5" = Set preference, "User Prefs|Custom User-Agent=Opera/9.80 (J2ME/MIDP; Opera Mini/7.5.33361/31.1350; U; en) Presto/2.8.119 Version/11.10"
      Item, "Firefox 31" = Set preference, "User Prefs|Custom User-Agent=Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 5.1; rv:31.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/31.0"
      Item, "Chrome 37" = Set preference, "User Prefs|Custom User-Agent=Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.3; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/37.0.2049.0 Safari/537.36"

For ones like the button feature of "old browsers", here example button switching between Opera' default UA and Firefox 31:
      opera:/button/Set%20preference,%22User%20Prefs%7CCustom%20User-Agent=Mozilla/5.0%20(Windows%20NT%205.1;%20rv:31.0)%20Gecko/20100101%20Firefox/31.0%22,,%22Customed%20UserAgent%22,Mailing%20List%20Unknown%20%3E%20Set%20preference,%22User%20Prefs%7CCustom%20User-Agent=%22,,%22Default%20UserAgent%22,Window%20Browser%20Icon

By similar method, you could create new short cut for fast switching UA.

PS: Stupid forum posting feature compare to the old my.opera.com

All the newline are gone, repost

        [UserAgent Menu]

Item, "Default" = Set preference, "User Prefs|Custom User-Agent="
        Item, "Opera Mini 7.5" = Set preference, "User Prefs|Custom User-Agent=Opera/9.80 (J2ME/MIDP; Opera Mini/7.5.33361/31.1350; U; en) Presto/2.8.119 Version/11.10"

        Item, "Firefox 31" = Set preference, "User Prefs|Custom User-Agent=Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 5.1; rv:31.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/31.0"

        Item, "Chrome 37" = Set preference, "User Prefs|Custom User-Agent=Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.3; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/37.0.2049.0 Safari/537.36"

Where's the "/menu/standardmenu.ini" exactly? Because I don't have a "menu" folder in my Opera Profile Folder and there's no "standardmenu.ini" file in my entire computer.

And yes, I'm using Opera 12.17.

            (Alt+T) Tools > Preferences > Advanced > Toolbars > Menu Setup > Duplicate

Opera will create 'menu' folder and 'standard_menu.ini' in your Opera's profile folder.

Or, you can create manually 'menu' folder and copy /usr/share/opera/ui/standard_menu.ini to this.

              Done! Thanks!!
I put the "Submenu, "User Agent", UserAgent Menu" in [Browser Button Menu Bar] instead so I can have faster access to the UA settings.

              Once again, thanks!
