  • @pe73: For that purpose, you can try one of the extensions that allow you to automatically refresh web pages: the Page Reloader, the Auto Refresh Plus, or Easy Auto Refresh - to be able to install one of the last two, you need first install one of the following extensions, which allow you install extensions from the Chrome Web Store: the Extension source viewer, or the Download Chrome Extension.

    Thanks! Will try.

  • Not sure, if I like it or not. It's really god, in fact. But I found a habit to stuck on page, while mouse over next tab to switch. But I'm stuck, reading and here's a sudden popup - it's strange 🙂
Btw, Chrome has it too. Who was first?

  • I have the latest Chrome browser also, and I don't get the tab previews there (when I hover my mouse cursor over and inactive tab).

  • Whoops, I must be tracking the same pages in both browsers yesterday. Or just hallucinating. There's no such thing in Chrome, I'm sorry.

  • I dind't see this post. This is what i think about this new feature:

Please let us customize Opera! Its not big deal. I had to disable Opera tab preview.

  • While I like the tab preview, it might be better if you could control the size of the preview . At least have some options -- small, medium, large.

I join your request. Really need old look of small preview. Please, add this to the settings.

  • Hi @pe73, yes you can do this as follows:

    1. Go to the Settings (Alt+P), click on the free space on the page, somewhere outside the search field, enter the Konami code: up up down down left right left right b a,
    2. After that, the warning window should appear (Power user settings), click on the "I understand, proceed" button, then scroll to the bottom of the page, and tick the checkbox on the left of the "Always show power user settings" option,
    3. Scroll a bit up, to the "User interface" section, and you should see the "Delay of initial tab preview in milliseconds" options (as shown below), and change the default value (600), by clicking on the arrow symbols: up-arrow, down-arrow on the right of the value, or click on the value field, and type a custom value, eg. 200:

Whoa, this is what I'm looking for!
Some friends complained about delayed preview, indicating that the process is "heavy".

I agree but I'll give you the same selfish answer you gave me. If you don't like it, go and use extensions. Opera minimalist is the best thing ever (sarcasm).

  • I do like the tab feature, as it is, dobledosis. I have no complaints. I simply made a suggestion that might make others happy.

And extensions are great. Long live extensions 🙂
