Cannot connect to VPN while Opera is my default browser

Hi,
I have been working from home since March 2020 and I use Opera GX as my default browser to connect to my companies VPN through Cisco AnyConnect. Everything has worked completely fine until today (April 6th, 2021). When I attempted to log into my work VPN today I was instantly getting prompted with "Login failed". I changed my default browser to Microsoft Edge and I was able to connect to the VPN perfectly fine.
I'm unsure of why this issue started today since nothing has been changed on my PC/Opera browser. Has anyone had a similar issue that could provide some help?
