Move multiple tabs at a time

Is it too much to ask to be able to select multiple tabs and do things with them such as simply re-ordering them amongst your other tabs or dragging them out to a new window? Rather than how it is now, having to do one tab at a g.d. time! How has this been overlooked for so long? It's a basic user action!
