Mailto link wants to open in Thunderbird but TB not installed

I am not quite sure if I have changed any option unknowingly but the problem is, when I click on a mailto link in a certain text, my Opera wants to open it in Thunderbird but I have no Thunderbird installed. I rather would like to have it opened in my mailprovider's application. Any idea how to change that? At least that Opera does not want to open in TB?

@berend47533 Try this: open Settings,click Advanced, and under Privacy and Security, click on Site Settings, click on Additional permissions > Handlers, you will find it there.
