Opera GX using lots of memory and bandwidth

So pretty recently Opera GX has started using a ton of memory on my computer and uses more than most other applications on my computer according to task manager. I've barely been able to open more than one tab without my computer overheating and my internet speed reaching a max of 2 Mb/s when it's normally around 12-15. I've even tried moving my router to have an Ethernet connection, but it still slows down my computer when none of my other devices have trouble. I've also used all of the Ram and bandwidth limiters and all that, but nothing has worked. Is there anything I can try and do to fix this??
