Opera GX makes my screen flicker

I have a problem with my Opera GX version 72.0.3815.465
Since a few days ago I started to have the problem that my laptop's screen (a HP gaming pavilion 15-cx0001la running Windows 10 Home version 1909) started flickering a lot when I was on Opera GX (about once or twice every second); I did some digging and found out it was a problem with the compatibility of the browser with my screen's driver (Intel(R) UHD Graphics 630 version 26.20.100.6911) and the only way to make the flickering stop was to revert to an older driver.
My problem is that I would like to be able to use Opera GX and the updated driver because with the older one some of my laptop's features don't work (like adjusting the brightness from the keybord).
Is there a way I can make both of them work?
I haven't been using this browser for long but it did used to work well before. -
